Because despite your belief no one knows what causes the over 200 different types of cancer. For every single listed ’cause’ there are exceptions . . smokers do not always get lung cancer . . non-smokers can get lung cancer . . melanoma can occur in new born infants . .while someone exposed to the sun all their life will never get skin cancer . . only a very, very few cancers are linked to genetics. The question is really not what ’causes’ cancer . .but why one person will get cancer while another one will not.
Childhood cancer, adolescent and young adult cancers, and older adult cancers are all different . . why is that . . why do children get a different type of cancer (round blue cell) than older adults? Why are some cancers affecting males almost 4 to 1 (osteosarcoma is one). Why do adults get cancers associated with their organs . .such as lung, pancreas, breast, or colon cancer . . while children and young adults tend to get cancers associated with muscles, bone, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue within the body?
Prevention is not the key to solving the cancer issue . . the healthiest individuals on the planet can still end up with cancer . . you can excercise, eat right, avoid carcinogens . .and still get cancer . .and there is no known reason why. If we could prevent cancer than two year old children would not be getting it . .if we could prevent cancer than healthy athletic teenagers would not be getting cancer . there is no prevention for the over 200 different types of cancer. The best we can do is prepare for it should you ever be unlucky enough to get it.
So the answer is simple . . . even if we spent every single dime on prevention . . people would still get cancer . . you cannot prevent something if you do not know what ’causes’ it in the first place. You cannot prevent cancer if it turns out to be an individuals internal problem (growth hormone during puberty).

The money to be made from it exacly ,and in more ways than one cancer it self can beprvented very simple with a good diet so your body has ALL the minerals and neutrients it need in the right amounts and from a natural soucre, there in lies the drug companies problem they sell and make billions from the very fact of removing these goodies from the soil and water and replacing them with infrerior chemical oneslike fertiziler and fluoride cholrine immunisations they can patent and control , add in the KNOWN but still very much used and abused pollutents like benzenes in fuel, paint. nail polish, The plastics we all are exposed to day after day, made by the same pricks as sell you the cures that do nothing but make you sicker most of the time. Chemo drugs and added radiation from xrays mobile phone towers and wireless technologys and mamagrams dont work look in to the stats that are not given to you by the lot that profits from the sale of these thing,Its a SICKNESS industrie not a WELLNESS sociytie we live in unless we do some thing to change it i think in the states its a case of if your not wealthy enough to afford to pay for insurance your rooted , in australia we are forced to buy med insurance on to of a govenment medicare BS that is taken from you for which you get very littel back, in return, while the natural health industrie is gaged and hamppered at every turn, by a corrupt system that has drug compaiens paying to run the bodys that isuse the controlls on there drugs and natural alternitives (there competitor) hows that for a fair deal for the people.

Good question, the answer is that they are looking for a cure, that is , a drug to address symptoms making you a regular customer for life ( however long that may be).
If they were sincere they would be looking for healing and health, a big difference.

I think it has to do with whose pockets those dollars end up in.
